INFLUENCE

U2's religious influence on popular culture has been great due to the fact that U2 doesn't necessarily force religion, but uses it to back up their own beliefs. When people think of the band, the first thing they think of is Rock, and not Religion.

U2 has actively talked about their religious endeavours, more specifically Bono; the lead singer of the group. Bono has specifically talked about his catholic beliefs of there being a greater meaning or a greater force above us.

U2 has indirectly quoted bible verses in their most religious songs and speaks of praying in their catholic religion.
